ParaLympic Day CampDATE/TIME: June 10-14, 2013 8:00am to 2:00pm WHERE: Rancho High School WHO: Students with Physical Disabilities or Visual Impairments PARTICULARS: |

· Open to school-aged students (ages 7-22 years) with a physical disability, wheelchair or power chair users, ambulatory cerebral palsy, amputees, and visually impaired, and have a desire to participate in strenuous physical activities.
· Students must have basic self-care skills (toileting, eating, dressing, self-advocacy) to participate in the full 6-hour daily program. A modified day may be available for students that require any special procedure.
· Camp will be staffed by the Adapted PE Department (Paralympic Sports Staff) and will include a school nurse.
· Registration begins March 1, 2013. Open to the first 40 “campers”. Registration forms will be posted on this site.
· $ 35 Tuition will include full 5-day camp: all activities, daily lunches, snacks, camp tee shirt, activity insurance, Friday Barbecue and Awards.
· Activities will include: Track & Field, Basketball, Tennis, Cycling, Soccer, Rugby, Goal Ball, Table Tennis, Swimming, Ice Skating & Sled Hockey, Weight training, Boccia, Archery, Self Defense, Softball, Arts & Crafts, and other fun Camp Activities!
All activities will be held at Rancho HS except swimming and ice skating/sled hockey.
